Insight Meditation is the English translation of the Pali word Vipassana, which literally means "seeing into". As we develop some steadiness of mind, we find ourselves settling into our experience, rather than being one step ahead, predicting, planning, or preparing or one step behind, reviewing, judging, and evaluating. Instead, we discover the sensory world available to us in this moment. We learn to trust what is happening right now. The truth of impermanence reveals itself naturally and we learn how to be at peace with change.
